Cochrane BMX... It's as GREAT as we make it!

Simply put, our club could not exist without the support and talents of a diverse and committed membership. There are no paid positions or hired personnel at Cochrane BMX. Every aspect of the track upkeep and the successful execution of our riding and racing events are 100% organized, managed and done through volunteer efforts.

 It requires many hands to host a successful season and with the recent growth of the club, we aim to ensure that we balance the increased demands against our philosophy of making BMX racing fun and affordable.
COCHRANE BMX offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities for all skill and ability levels. It is an excellent way to learn about our sport, gain a better understanding of BMX racing and become part of the Cochrane BMX community of families!  

​Our race nights and open tracks can not happen without your help.  There are many volunteer positions, including:
track maintenance, track flagging, gate operator, race registration, race staging, finish line, announcing and work party volunteers. Have a unique skill set that would help the club? Speak to a board member on how we can work with you directly. ​

Volunteer Agreement
A  volunteer commitment of 20 regular season hours and at least one shift at a major event is asked of each of our families each season.  ​COCHRANE BMX has a volunteer bond requirement to help encourage COCHRANE BMX members to step forward and get involved.  A $250 Credit Card or e-transfer payment is collected during the registration process and refunded once your hours are completed at then end of the season.
