Club Coaching and Training

 Club Coaching |
Tuesday / Thursday evenings

Our club coaching program is an opportunity for Cochrane BMX riders to train and build riding skills with our coaching crew. Coaching sessions will be divided into groups based on skill & experience. If you are looking for skills building sessions, register for our coaching program.

  • Little Rippers:   6:00-6:45pm Tuesdays in May and some Thursdays
    • All of our 4-8 year old riders (boys and girls) who are working on the basic skills of riding the track start in our Little Ripper group. Our coaches will focus on teaching these riders the BMX fundamentals while keeping it fun and rad!   Our goal is to get our youngest riders out on the track with some coaching as soon as possible.  Check out our weekend camps and Tuesday training sessions and decide which works best for your family (or choose both!).
  • Rad Racers:  6:00-6:45 (July/Aug/Sept) or 7:00-7:45pm (May Only)
    • These 7-10/11 year old boys and girls are confident on their BMX bike, have the basic track riding skills and are ready to build on the skills learned in Little Rippers, and improve track skills in the gate, on rollers, in corners and in the rhythm section to become more confident and skilled racers.
    • **All girls will join the F.A.S.T. Girls training group for selected sessions this summer.   Please sign up for your age specific training session and the F.A.S.T Girls training and send one EFT to cochranebmx@gmaill.com
  • Holeshot Heroes: 7:00-7:45pm (July/Aug/Sept) or 8:00-8:45pm (May only)
    • This group includes our  11-13 year old expert and 12-13 year old novice/intermediate riders who are ready to take their riding to the next level, have the skills to get stronger, go faster, and continue improving on the fundamentals of racing.
  •  Junior Devo:  8:00-8:45pm (July/Aug/Sept)
    • This training group includes our Junior Devo aged riders who are working on high level racing skills. Our oldest and most experienced riders will ride with Taylor to practice and improve their racing skills and tactics.
  •
  • F.A.S.T. BMX Girls Training: See Registration form.  Details will be updated as details are finalized.
    • A girls specific training program for all of our Fast, Athletic, Strong, Tough female identifying riders  with Team Canada Junior Elite Rider Aby Reeve and guest coaching opportunities with Team Canada Junior Elite rider Aby Reeve and guest coach opportunities with Team Canada coach Daina Tuchscherer. Sign up and train with our Mighty team of female racers.   See our calendar for program calendar offerings.
