District Races are the local races at our track for all club members, and are held once/ twice a week (see our calendar for race schedule). These races are included at no cost with your Cochrane BMX membership. You may also participate at any other Alberta club’s district races if you purchase the $90 ABA race license.

Anyone with an ABA license and a racing membership can participate in our club races. Weather permitting, races take place on Monday and Wednesday nights from 7-8:30 pm Open track precedes all races from 6-6:50 pm. Racers from other clubs are welcome, but please remember that the ABA license permitting you to ride other tracks is required is the $95 race licence option.
Register for Cochrane district races:
- Race day registrations can be made via text (587-586-0707 ) until 5:30pm each race day, or at the track from 6:00pm – 6:30pm, Because timing on race nights is important, late registrations will NOT be accepted – NO EXCEPTIONS.
- ALWAYS check the riders list when it is posted at 6:30 to ensure you rider is registered and all racer information is correct. You have 5 minutes to let the ladies in the moto shed know if you find any errors in age, class or plate number
- Sign up for a race volunteer position so the evenings races can run!
- Check the motos once they are posted and get your rider to staging for racing!
Your Alberta Bicycle Association license allows you to race at any CCA BMX facility in Canada and provides your rider insurance, which is required to ride and compete at every track. Your membership includes all COCHRANE BMX district races, special club events, access to our equipment loaner program and the option to register in our coaching program.
