 Alberta Provincial Race Series

Alberta Provincial racing is the opportunity for riders to
compete in bigger races against riders from across Alberta, 
Provincial Series Racing: The Alberta race series takes place on tracks throughout Alberta.   There are 8 races and one Grand Final Race. Racers must compete in at least 4 races (2 events) plus the Grand final to qualify for the year-end awards. Racers that qualify for a year-end award will be awarded a Provincial Ranking # and a Provincial number (racing) plate. The Provincial Series is a series open to all with a UCI license but only Alberta residents may qualify for year-end awards. Registration fees and travelling expenses are the responsibility of the racer. Any and all Cochrane BMX members are welcome and encouraged to participate. www.albertabmx.com

Canadian National Championships: This is a one day age group race that can be held at any track in Canada . It is the highest ranking plate that a Canadian rider can be awarded (except for a World Championship Plate). The Canadian National Championship is an open race, all licensed Canadian riders may participate. Entrance fees and travelling expenses are the responsibility of the racer. Any and all Cochrane BMX members are welcome and encouraged to participate. www.canadian-cycling.com

 What you need to know before you go: 

*Online pre-registration closes at 10pm the Wednesday before each provincial race. After online reg closes you can register on-site between 6-8pm at the hosting track. (Registration link is  below).
*If you pre-register online you are required to check-in and show your rider’s ABA racing license at the race office between 6-8pm Friday night or 8-9am Saturday morning. If you do not check in, you will be removed from the Moto sheets
*CHECK THE RIDERS LIST by 10am Saturday morning and 9am Sunday morning to catch any errors in age, class, plate number.
*A front and side plate are required fro  provincial races. If you haven’t purchased your side plate yet, you can purchase a Cochrane BMX one for $20 or buy one on-site when you check in. You will not be permitted to ride the track Saturday or Sunday without a front and side plate.
*Each hosting track will share additional information on their website and/or facebook,  including Friday practice times. Saturday and Sunday practice times are always the same and posted below.
*Cochrane BMX has team tents that will be set up near staging in the club team area at YEG BMX. Find us there and in the bleachers.

Once you have pre-registered for a provincial race, you must check-in with your license at the track Friday evening or Saturday morning  AND ​ check the posted riders list on every race day for omissions/corrections.
